Hey Nicky, tell us little bit about yourself?
having started in sports, I always knew I wanted to shoot editorial style photography, so after getting my own studio in Kent it became my aim to pursue this.
Could you tell us about how you became involved with photography and realised you wanted to be a photographer?
after taking photography up as a hobby, and getting my first paid publication I soon realised this might be my calling.
Do you think that photography has changed you in any way? What do you love most about Photography?
photography has definitely changed me, I'm a lot more relaxed, having a hobby turn into a career is a dream come true, and seeing results from photoshoots and thinking I did that is an awesome feeling.
Do you have any favourite pieces of equipment you couldn’t live without?
I absolutely love my sigma 85mm 1.4 lens the compression of this lens is amazing.
If you had unlimited resources who and what would you photograph?
if I had unlimited resources id love to work with models such as Kate moss and cara Delevingne and do a shoot for Gaultier and Dior.
How do you keep yourself motivated when it comes to creating your editorials?
vision, always trying to think of the next shoot, I even have a book now to write my ideas down, having a great creative team around also helps.
Could you tell us a little bit about the concept behind your editorials we featured?
both tara and massay are great models and like to stay in shape, we had talked about doing a duo shoot for a while, throw in a bit of denim you can't go wrong.
What is the impression you want viewers to get from your work?
I want people to see that im able to work to a brief and get them the shots that they desire , that you can have fun whilst doing a shoot and still be professional and get great images, I have a welcoming studio, music on the go and living a dream.
Do you have any tips for photographers/creatives at the start of their journey?
I would say don't overthink it, be yourself, and shoot shoot shoot.
Is there any thing key in the future your aiming for?
yes my aim is to introduce myself to more designers and work with them.
