Photography is my greatest life passion. I specialize in several fields of photography, mainly in portrait, fashion, lifestyle and product photography. I take my photo shoots both outdoors and in the studio but I especially love shooting in a natural light and with good quality portrait lenses. I have always been interested in photography, once analog one (I had an old camera Zenit) and then I started to use Canon 5d Mark III. I love portraying people, showing their uniqueness, natural beauty, emotions and intimacy. I am a self-taught person. I did not attend any photography school (I am a Spanish translator by education), but I took part in many workshops in fashion photography, portraiture, wedding photojournalism and street photography. I always try to smuggle feelings, emotions, atmosphere and a bit of nostalgy into my photos. My second biggest passion is travelling.

What would you say made you fall in love with Photography?

I have always been fascinated and inspired by photography. Since I can remember I was always immersed completely in taking photos and it used to give me a feeling of excitement and fulfillment. For me, a photography is about connection and intimacy between you and the person, a special relationship and about capturing a moment in a way that forces the others to stop for a second and think about it.

What would you say is the most challenging part of being a Photographer?

The most challenging thing of being a photographer for me is living in constant financial uncertainty. You won’t have any stable or predictable life. It's hard to be independent and self-sufficient in days when nearly everyone now is a photographer or at least takes pictures.

What is the Best advice someone has told you?

Believe in yourself, express yourself and don't look back. Just keep doing what you love and find your niche.

And what’s the Best advice you have given / would give to someone?

Try to shoot as much in natural light as you can. Get inspired by some of your favourite photographers. Attend various good photography workshops.

Your images are beautiful, How do you think you found your style?

Thank you so much. It is very motivating for me. I found my own style experimenting with portraying people and their emotions. I find inspiration for my photos everywhere, mostly in movies, art, paintings and in music. I always try to smuggle emotions and feelings to my photos. I love portraying people, their nature. I love nostalgy, romanticism and I try to combine it with fashion and portrait photography. I also try to make my shoots look as natural as possible but with an artistic touch. All of these things together create a specific style.

What has been your favourite photoshoot to date?

I am deeply immersed in every shoot I do so it’s difficult to mention a particular photoshoot. But of course there are some projects that I keep deeply in my heart. I especially like it when I truly reach the person and create some intimacy between us and it is very rewarding and always exciting.

Favourite piece of gear?

A good quality portrait lenses. I love my Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lenses.

For an up coming photographer, what advice would you give?

Be passionate about doing something. If you love what you are doing and put some effort into it you will be successful. Don't be discouraged easily, a photography is very subjective and you will never please everyone. Just follow your own way, find your style, keep shooting and perfecting your art.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I don’t usually make long-term plans. Everything is so unpredictable these days. I would like to keep doing what I really love and see where it takes me.

After the year of 2020, What are some plans of yours for 2021?

I started some collaborations and I hope they will be the long-term projects. I want to focus more on fashion editorials, try to find a good stylist and I want to learn more and more to reach my goals.

Thanks for being a part of intra, where could our readers find more about you?

Thank you for having me here and I hope I will publish more fashion editorials in your magazine soon.

All the best,
Marta
